Bristol, England, -- English eccentric Stanley Forbes is all set and raring to go on his unique tour of the USA, beginning on Monday 6th August. However, like the man himself, this tour is somewhat unusual.
The popular 27 year old Bristolian musician and satirist, purveyor of the “Anti-Sobriety Variety Show”, is due to travel to the houses of total strangers, contacted through the popular website Myspace, who have all agreed to put on a party on a particular evening, where Mr Forbes is expected to play.
Gaining the trust of people he had never met before was, apparently, quite easy, as the aristocrat Forbes explains:
“Well, I decided early in January that this would be a chipper year, and one where I would make a slapdash musical tour the United States, so I sent a few messages to some random chaps on the old interweb, asking if I could play at their abodes, and lo and behold, they said yes. Very trusting of them, really. I could’ve been anyone”.
Mr Forbes will be complementing his nationwide tour by “popping in” to radio stations, and asking to perform some of his strange songs live on air.
