NEW YORK, NY, -- The innitiator and organizer of this annual event is Natalia Paruz, better known as the 'Saw Lady'. She is a judge at the International Musical Saw Competition in France, member of the advisory board of the International Musical Saw Association, and a columnist for the 'Saw Players News' where she publishes her researches of the history of the carpenter's hand-saw as a musical instrument. Preserving and promoting the rare and almost extinct art form of playing music on a carpenter's hand-saw, Natalia was nominated the 'best ambassador of the musical saw'. What to expect at the event:
See the Saw Players and hear the Singing Sounds of Saw:
* Natalia 'Saw Lady' Paruz will perform and discuss different genres of saw music
* Chen Zhikang of China , inventor and patent holder of the Chinese musical saw and teacher of more than 1000 saw students in China will perform and talk about saw playing in China
* Solo performances by many musical saw players
* The Chorus of the Saws - all participating saw players will play together
